Each and every day the Chamber assists callers and walk-in visitors with questions about area businesses and our community. In addition, the Chamber serves as a local information center for tourists. Providing Kirksville maps and area phone books, driving directions to local attractions, and sometimes a lesson on local history are only a few ways the Chamber contributes to the community.
The Chamber also plans and supports various community events and promotes our town with various tourism and advertising initiatives. The Kirksville Area Chamber of Commerce currently has over 300 members, ranging from large industrial corporations to small start-ups. Represented in the Chamber are retail, professional, not-for-profit, and governmental organizations, as well as individual residents of the Kirksville area and retirees from the business community.
The Chamber is a network of business professionals. There is no better resource for businesses than the relationships they develop in the community they do business. As our network grows, so do our connections to our community and the resources at our disposal. You never know when the person you just met will have the answer to the next challenge your business faces. By developing your business network, you are accessing the valuable experience and knowledge of another business leader. It's easier than you think. As Chamber members, our paths cross in the workplace, the board room, the grocery store, and even children's sporting events. Enjoy the benefits of connecting to like-minded individuals and watch your organization flourish.
